Colour Feather Spines

Hi

What does everyone use to colour the spine of dyed stripped pheasant feathers after stripping one side?

I've used sharpie permanent markers which seem to work. I've also heard that some people use acrylic paint but not tried that myself

I also use Sharpie markers. They come is all different colors and are permanent.
