A whole new venue for hats and costumes has just opened up for Orsini~Medici Couture Millinery!!! The Lady Almina cloche hat will be used on the cover of a romance novel, soon to be published in a series of books. I have also been asked by the same photographer to so a 4 piece Shaker costume for another book!! I'm hoping this will be the beginnng of a very long term professional relationship!!
Andd many thanks to my dear friend, Diane Feen, for this tip of the hat in the August issue of HatLife online newsletter!!!

Welcome to Hat Academy Elsie. I have noticed your pieces on Mad Hatters. I hope this site inspires you. I am working on a cloche today with the feature being one of those leather flowers in the newsletter. Will post pic when finished. Happy Hatting!
Feel free to share your hat or headpiece creations, join in or start a hatters discussion and add your info to the My Store panel above. Remember online help is a click away. To begin with Lessons check out our Get Started page. I am looking forward to sharing Millinery techniques, ideas and fashion news with you.
Enjoy, Elaine.
Hi Elsie, good to see you're here too, how is life?
Hi Elsie,
Sounds like you have had some varied projects on the go. I personally would never 'boil' a felt, vintage or otherwise, hot water and steam would be enough and a good stiff brush afterwards! let me know how you get on with it!
I've been working on a lot of bridal pieces and have 2 bridal fairs coming up, I do like making bridal pieces, they are very girly!
I am also finishing some pieces as I'll be working with my lovely MUA and photographer again at the start of next month and shooting some cocktail hats and lots of vintage veiling!
As always very busy and loving what I do for a living!
Maggie
