Photographers love hat themed shoots because they have such a feminine appeal. As a professional photographer Linda Tillis from Florida was having a problem finding suitable vintage hats so she started making her own and has fallen in love with millinery. The pleated silk brim against the face is so soft and ladylike. This method is taught in the Swathed Crown & Brim lesson and can be combined with draped organza or chiffon. The burgundy wine colouring in this photograph has been chosen by Linda as it is a favoured heritage colour for vintage styling.
