I have just completed a 3 day course and I'm studying millinery on a open university City and Guilds level 2 course. I am starting as a hobby making hats for friends and family. I would like to launch my own business 'Mayflower Millinery'.
Glad you spotted my lesson clips on YouTube, Tracey. Millinery is so creative. I set this site up last year to pass on millinery techniques. Once you know the basics you will surprise yourself with your own creativity. I am committed to helping you add to your skills & any questions do message me. Congratulations on starting your first lesson Tracey! I hope you enjoy your first 4 lessons and can work on as many techniques as possible over the next month. I suggest you make a few brims to experiment with different binding finishes
Make a couple of crowns then next set explains how to connect Crown & Brim plus use a band as part of trim. The next few lessons are on trims you can use.
Have fun but I am here to answer any small questions
To kick off make sure you have read through Getting Started and FAQs. Any questions on individual modules please ask by clicking "Lesson Discussions" located on the lesson video page.
