"I paint the headband (to match the client's hair) as well, and I find that the headbands Rebecca taught to go with the percher, don't need elastic."

"I use very fine braid or ribbon. Some milliners use fine tubing. I stitch the ends of elastic at least 7-8 times and I don't use knots where you could see them."

I Love Hats Because?
Hats are a great way to finish off an outfit and create individuality. Creating hats allows me to express my creativity and de-stress from my full-time job.
About Me
I am employed full time as a nurse, but have been creating hats for myself and my friends for quite a few years. Now I'm finding the more I create, the more I want to learn about the art of millinery

Wonderful you found our website Michelle. So pleased you have joined me in Hat Academy and hope you find it inspiring. I am committed to helping you add to your skills.

I set this up to help Beginners -once you learn the basic techniques you will be surprised how creative you can be. Millinery is a creative art & in huge demand currently.
