I Love Hats Because?: My Hats - My Philosophy
"I am of the opinion that there are still infinite varieties of new forms and finishes that can be discovered and created for the women choosing to wear them and to be gorgeous with. The challenge is to make sure the headwear is elegant, playful, stunning, and exciting. Whenever I choose a hat block, vintage or new, pick a felt or straw, my mind plays all different scenarios. Never is it straight forward, clockwork, or repetition. Every piece I work on takes me on a journey of my imagination. A piece of art that develops as I go. I live for the moments of wide eyed exploration. And I am in absolute awe when I see the result adding this delight to the beauty of the person wearing it."
