Polishing Melusine
Since silk plush is no longer available for making top hats, I was wondering if anyone knew the method of polishing Melusine to get that beautiful sheen? My Google-fu has failed me.

Victoria you will not the high shine you see on top hats at Ascot because they are treated with glycerine. Steaming and brushing melusine is the standard way to obtain a shiny finish. Hope this helps.
