Profile Information

I Love Hats Because?
They have a way of bringing grace to a woman. They inspire, they flirt, and they let you become who ever you want to be for the day.
About Me
My Grandmother raised me on musicals and we'd always go to hat shops and try on every single hat available. I always found magic in hats. One day I woke up and decided I was going to learn the art of millinery to create hats for myself and ended up creating hats for many. I love doing it. Hat making brings a certain calm to my crazy life. I'm mostly self taught but I did learn most of the basics from Joy Scott of Chicago.

I've hat hats worn to the 2012 Grammy's and I was on the New York Fashion Runway for Full Figured Fashion Week 2012, created pieces for The Carries Diaries, and hat the pleasure of sending hats all over the world.

Kickstarter for Etsy Fashion Show

So I started a kickstarter to raise funds to participate in the milliners of etsy fashion show.  While I know tons of people are going to snark at me there were no grants for me to apply for so I figured this was the best step for me.  The plan is to make amazing Labyrinth inspired hats to show down the runway.  So far I'm doing good with 3 days into it and $340 raised.  You don't have to donate but I would appreciate if you watch the video and spread the word.  Thanks in advance for taking…

Bow For Nova Fundraiser

Posted on November 29, 2012 at 12:30am 0 Comment

The daughter of my good friend Ashley, Nova, was born 15 weeks too soon on 10.17.12 weighing only 1 lb 13 oz. She is a single survivor of Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome. Her identical twin sister, Aurora Eisley, passed away in the womb on 09.21.12 a mere 18 hours after a successful operation meant to save them both. In addition to her extreme prematurity Nova has bi-lateral grade 3/4 IVH and profound hydrocephalus. She was a girl born with a purpose. She is fiesty and strong and fighting…
