Hats Off to Brisbane Millinery Conference 2013
"Hats Off to Brisbane" Millinery Conference went off with a bang, commencing on Sunday 31st June with a Trade day, Master Milliner competition and evening Cocktail Party at the Stamford Hotel.
This was followed by 5 days of intense workshops covering everything in leather, thermoplastics, straws, silk abaca and feathers. The Finale Dinner at the Hilton Hotel allowed delegates and tutors to party until late. The auction raised thousands of dollars towards the charity 'Camp Quality' Keep an eye on Australia's latest creations come November 5 th – Melbourne Cup Day!

Hi, I am a milliner living in Ireland and I will be traveling to Australia in early November. I would love the opportunity of attending a millinery conference. Can anyone tell me if there is one going on in the Brisbane/Melbourne area around that time? Much appreciated.

If you are in Australia for 5th November bring your best & brightest hat and go to a Melbourne Cup Party- Australia's biggest Race day
The nation stops for a day - everyone dresses up with a hat - as fab as Royal Ascot.
Could catch up for hatchat if in Brisbane around that time.
