My icicle crown was shared on Faerie Magazine's Facebook page the other day and has received thousands of likes...not sure it's the crown they're looking at though ;-)

This is a very effective way to capture attention to your brand. Stunning concept for the crown. Very creative photography also. Yes his eyes and that smirk make us look twice   Congrats   :))

Thank you very much. It's totally different to the sort of thing I normally make (cocktail hats!) but I do love a challenge. Poor chap had to get a train home after this still with snow in his beard!

So thrilled that my beautiful customer Alice won the TAS State Myer FOTF Competition. I can't wait to watch her in the final on Crown Oaks Day this spring!

"Hat trick win for London-based Milliner at Dubai World Cup"

The biggest sporting and social fashion occasion on the Dubai calendar, the US$30m Dubai World Cup day is held at Meydan Racecourse on the last Saturday in March every year.

After winning last year's “Longine's Most Elegant Lady” at the Dubai World Cup, Ana Bella Millinery who is based in Battersea took out the most prestigious prize of “Best Hat” at this year's festival, which was held over the Easter long weekend. Not only did the Milliner win the Best Hat category, she designed a hat for fashion Blogger, La-Toyah Asha, who took out runner up in the “Best Dressed Lady”category, competing against over 300 other ladies for the prized Jaguar car.

"As a milliner I am overwhelmed with winning the"best hat" category. After last years Longines win, I didn't think I could top that, but I'm on cloud nine, as it's the category that as a designer I wanted to win the most. I also felt I had designed such a unique hat, it needed to be seen at the Dubai World Cup, there are always so many entrants you never know who is going to win, but I feel I have designed something elegant, special and eye catching. "

Ana’s designs were also to be seen on several international celebrities, designers, stylist and fashion bloggers throughout the festival and with Ana moving her studio to London at the beginning of the 2016, it was a nice surprise to win the prestigious fashion stakes again, confirming her elegant and winning designs.

With over 400 entrants throughout the Jaguar Style Stakes Fashion competition, it was a fantastic hat trick following last years Longine's win for Milliner Ana. The four judges deliberated over the top ten “Best Hat” finalists after several heats, and then came to a unanimous decision that Ana’s metallic mirror fascinator outshone the rest.

The winning hat comprises over 40 hand cut rose gold mirrored pieces placed on a wave that frames the face, sitting on a traditional sinamay button base. The piece is light and comfortable to wear, reflecting and glittering in the sunshine. Ana says the inspiration for the head wear came from nature, as the mirror pieces spiral and follow the curve of the leaf like shape.

Following her win, Ana is now working steadily towards Royal Ascot, special occasion wear and bespoke orders. Ana Bella Millinery is currently stocked internationally, online and looking for UK stockists.

Congrats Anna Bella Millinery

Dear Elaine and Hat academy

Thankyou so much for all your support, you have been there for me through my hat adventure and learning from the very, very beginning! If it wasn't for hat academy, I wouldn't have been able to learn any hat skills, as I was in the middle of no where, and they had unfortunately closed the TAFE millinery course before I got to it. Elaine you have been a great support, thankyou from the bottom of my hatty batty heart :) xo
