Headwear is a covert communication tool.
Our first recognition of a person (after gender) is the EYES - the window to the soul.
A hat will then draw the eyes of the viewer UP instead of the natural inclination to drop them down (automatic shy/shame reaction). An upward glance for a couple of seconds is long enough to generate an openness in the viewer before lowering their gaze to the eyes again.
Women know this; even unconsciously.
Hats facilitate the possibility of rapport :)
I also love the creative process. That moment of "YES!" when everything comes together and you know it 'works' is a joy; and, addictive :)
