A hat enhances a woman's beauty, covers her flaws, adds to her mystery and confidence, heightens her status, and makes her stand out in a crowd.
About Me
I handcraft one-of-a-kind hats that are inspired by African crowns, old movies, architecture and nature. Using dressmaker and traditional millinery techniques, my pattern and blocked hats blend African and European aesthetics, textiles, felt and straw.
Largely self-taught in millinery, I studied African art and decorative styles in college and Ghana, West Africa. Later I took a basic course in millinery techniques at the Fashion Institute of Technology in NY. My aim is self-employment especially now that I’m semi-retired.
