Wearing each time different hat make me feel like a different person :)
My journey with hats started in my childhood. My mum used to be a passionate dress maker, always preparing some fantastic, creative party dresses for me. I loved watching her and helping out with anything I could. I think that's how my passion started.
I remember as it were yesterday, sitting in my room making all the different hats and accessories for my dolls using fabrics scraps and any kind of haberdashery. My mum, very patient woman, never complained, not even when I ruined her skirt in the name of new design dress for my doll I named Małgosia!
Fast-forward to the time when I came across a tiny Millinery shop in my home town. I just couldn't take my eyes off all the stunning things in shop window! At that moment I decided to become a milliner.
Since 2001 I had the chance to develop and perfect my skills even more by working for renowned ateliers and milliners in England. Alongside the best designers of various head wear my own designs were born.
Your work is beautiful Ella. Hope you pick up a few extra tips & techniques through Hat academy and enjoy the discussions. This is such a sharing community which we need as milliners sometimes locked away in our studios.

ps My heritage is based in Poland as my great grandmother married a Polish gentleman Edward Bogus in 1885 so I have been doing research into Polish history.
