While studying contemporary applied arts in 2002, Sara fell in love with making hats and decided it was truly what she wanted to pursue for her career. Sarah was enchanted by hats and what they could do for the wearer, “No other accessory has the ability to alter its wearers look in quite the same way as a hat!”. Her background in textiles has provided Sarah with a solid foundation in the technical application of colour, balance, shape and style, giving her a competitive edge over her competition. Sara’s millinery pieces are for every woman, from showstopping pieces for race-going fashionistas to straw hats for summer vacations and frolicking in the sun.

As a designer, Sara is greatly inspired by the natural world around her and this is evident in her hats with the addition of glorious silk flowers and fine wispy feathers to completing each look. Sara's pieces are effortlessly chic with a touch of glamour like this gorgeous spotted, wide-brimmed hat trimmed elegantly with handcrafted flowers and a sprinkling of sculpted feathers. We love how the trims trickle through to the underside of the brim, adding interest and making the headpiece a feast for the eyes from all angles.
