Hi im really hoping for some adviseI really want to have a go at making a headpiece and pleat silk abaca. Is the silk abaca able to be pleated and hold its shape on its own or do you need to use buckram in this?See More

I have only blocked a simple button shape using this material, and I treated it just as I would with sinamay and spritzed it and then steamed it well to block.
