About Me
My name is Susanne Gadegaard and I live in central Denmark with my husband and son. We live in the country, so I always have access to Mother Nature, right outside my door. I love the ever changing seasons and adore the natural colours of nature.

I´m an ever creative spirit, who seldom rests. Once I´m working on one piece, the next two or three lies lurking in my mind already. This also means that I often have 4 or 5 pieces, waiting to be finished. Many of them benefit of it, as one idea used in one place, will develop into something new on the next piece. It´s a very organic proces, where I mostly hold true to two quotes. "God is in the detail" and "make something commen, but do it uncommonly well"
I work very hard to create details that gives an air of quality and magic.

I absolutely adore making wedding head pieces and would be easily content make a lot of those. The air that surrounds the world of weddings makes it kind of magical, to create them, and I love to know that I´m an ever so small part, of a very special day

Welcome to Hat Academy Susanne !

So glad you are enjoying your millinery this much - it becomes a love affair! Sounds as though you live in a lovely part of the world. I live in the country also amongst pineapple, custard apple & strawberry farms but not far from the surfing beaches.God has blessed me also.

I have done so much bridal work over the years I will share this in a lesson plus another on veils.

Feel free to share your hat or headpiece creations, join in or start a hatters discussion. Remember online help is a click away. To begin with Lessons check out our Get Started page. I am looking forward to sharing Millinery techniques, ideas and fashion news with you.
