I Love Hats Because?: Like Champagne, my philosophy is much the same on whimsical head gear. The hat MAKES the occasion. Life is an occasion. Tuesday is an occasion. You don’t have to make an “excuse” to brush your hair or wear earrings do you? You don’t need an official occasion to make yourself and others smile.

Noggin toppers (as I like to call my special hats) are like rescue pets (that’s why they are “adoptable” and not for sale.) You may not think you want one, and you may be looking for one, and you might even be allergic to hats, but sometimes hats happen and you stumble upon that perfect soul mate of a hat that you just have to have.

I’m constantly surprised at how hats I've made have magically found its perfect noggin to top naturally!

About Me: They say everyone has a hidden talent or calling, mine is probably not hat-making, but it sure is fun! I’ve always loved hats and decided in November of 2012 to create some just as a hobby. Having never taken a class on how to do it I figure these hats just really WANTED to be made. They’re birthed from imagination, usually late in the evening or in the wee hours of the morning. I never know what they’ll end up being but, once complete, they seek out an adoptive head to live out their chimerical days. Each one is inspired by an event, an animal or a natural phenomenon.

Whimsical, thematic, handcrafted hats for the extraordinarily imaginative & more than slightly silly.
