I have always loved hats, always worn them, even when they were not in fashion for my age or demographic! Hats have the character, romance, femininity, mystique and unique appeal of a bygone era. I am a nostalgia buff. I love everything from earlier times - the values, the styles, the attention to detail, the care and pride of workmanship. I miss the days when ladies wore hats and gloves, and men wore hats and took them off to be respectful or gallant. I miss the age where manners and etiquette underscored every aspect of life and hats seem to embody the charm of those days. For me, hats are fun and practical.
I've always put my own hats together but I'm a rank amateur; time to learn proper technique. So happy to find this site. I'm happily married, a children's caregiver; a mom to many not my own, love children, cats and dogs, Canadian, hat-wearer. :)
