Wonderful to have you join us Helen. Life would be busy there in Darwin at the moment as this is your social season. I am here to help you in any way I can. You have a great opportunity there in Darwin.
Another member, Gaye Lawrence who lives in a mining town sth of Darwin flew to Toowoomba to attend Uni of Sthn Qld in January and as a hobbyist she is creating some great pieces now. Leanne Goodwin has a boutique in Bris and has a case for display also.
Buying a steamer will speed up process incredibly - a smart decision. Will organise today.
Hi Helen, Congratulations on starting your first lesson
!I hope you enjoy the Pillbox lesson. Using fabric has been so successful for me as there is more fabric in the world than straw. It enables you to co-ordinate fabric with the garment. I think I will be making these forever as imports have not caught onto this being such a good seller.
To kick off make sure you have read through Getting Started and FAQs. Any questions on individual modules please ask by clicking "Lesson Discussions" located on the lesson video page.
Hi Helen, I see you have tackled more lessons. The variety with cocktails gives great options & they are still in demand. Changing Brim shape has been an ongoing look that has given me good sales. You are my only Darwin student. Australians find online too hard. Most students from US & UK.I guess you are getting ready for your racing season after Easter. Stay in touch Elaine
The Hatinator lesson is quite challenging but the movement of the wire is the secret - need to be game enough to twist & twirl & if it does not work straighten & try again. I have made good money using these techniques esp fabric added Hatinators.
Stay in touch, Elaine
