This cocktail hat is my entry for the January/February millinery challenge. It was made to be worn to a garden party with by the Client Grace:

This is sinamay that was blocked and steamed over one of my favorite wooden hat blocks. After I take it off the block I wire it for sturdiness and then sew on the trimmings. It's finished with feathers, quills, and a little bird nest of eggs. Perfect for someone looking for a simple feathery hat for tea.

Attaches with elastic that slips behind the head and has two loops for pinning.
