Wire for wired head bands?

Hi, Can anyone tell me what plastic cover wire I should purchase for wire headbands? I purchased  18 gauge wire, 1mm in width but think I need something thicker. Thanks,

Hi Amanda This is wire recommended by our tutors to make your own bands or for Percher Hats Gauge 16 Very Firm -Elaine
