I know some milliners sell a hat with trim attached to a brooch pin  and offer extra brooch trim in the sale so customer can change the trim. Has anyone had success with this marketing concept?

Check out this topic on Youtube  This one seems popular if using beads but plenty using ribbon, flowers &  buttons
