Hello All

I have this lovely brim block that I am hoping to learn with however it has these pins in the centre which are not on any of the videos that I have seen yet.

Can someone please explain how I’m meant to block with these in the centre? Do I stretch the sinamay over the top?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Amanda   These pegs are permanent pegs to keep the collar in place This is a Vintage block to have these permanent pins. I love the sway to the brim.                                                                                                                                            What I suggest is if blocking sinamay place in position accurately according to weave and mark on each layer the spot that hits each pin then make small hole in straw to fit over the pins for each layer. Proceed to block the Brim. You will cut the section out after you have placed a collar on it with correct head size you need. and a collar amount to attach the crown.  Hope this helps. Have creative fun with this Block  E xx
