I Love Hats Because?
I believe that a hat or headpiece should makes its lucky wearer feel special and unique; that it should be a natural extension of their beauty, their proportions, their personality, their dreams. A hat can provide an opportunity to creatively express one’s personality, to try out the feeling of a louder persona, or to tuck in and hide quietly behind the safety of its brim. Hats offer us the gift of adding a bit of magic and drama to enhance our lives, allowing us to create our own story with rich expression.
About Me
Fielden Willmott, a native of Lexington, Kentucky, became fascinated by the wonderful sensation of wearing a hat, very much by chance. Then, as an intrepid seamstress, she decided to make a few of her own. One thing lead to another, and a burning curiosity to learn true, couture Millinery lead her to study the Atelier of the internationally renowned Anya Caliendo, in New York. After this rich experience, Fielden returned to Lexington to open her own studio. Her favorite hats to make are turbans and fedoras, preferably custom, and in red. She lives downtown, likes to cook, is engaged to a vibrant poet, has a golden retriever, Lady, and four cats.
