how do go to burn a hat?
Hi everyone!
Im finding this technique absolutely amazing and im dying to know more about.
when finshing a hat, some set in on fire for a short time.
first Im looking to know what they use?
second, would that work on 100% wool felt?

I have the same question. I have tried alcohol, 120 proof everclear and did not get the results I was looking for. I have watched a couple of Hollywood master felt hat milliners and it looks like they spray an "agent" on the felt hat and then use a match to ignite the hat. It looks beautiful, but I cannot make it happen. What is the secret?
