Help identify this hat

We picked up this hat at an estate sale and would like to know more about it. We can't find anything online, but it's hard to search when we don't have any info to search with.
It appears very old and delicate. Made of felt and is very light. Has an elastic chin strap.

Hi there,
Are you looking to identify the era? Looks late 40s to early 50s to me. I have a similar one at home from that era.
