Dear Hat Academy (and especially the lovely Louise)!

I have just finished the wide brimmed hat course which Louise demonstrated.  I have attached a photo of my make, it is by no means perfect (my first attempt), but I am very happy with the outcome.  Louise is a perfect instructor and explains everything so well, I really enjoy her videos.  I am in the UK, and we cannot get the beautiful trimmings you have in Australia, i.e. the Rachello Braids in gorgeous colours, but I managed to find a vintage swiss straw braid, which I spray painted to match in with my buntal mat.  I am doing the Breton Hat video course next, really excited about the shape of this one.
