It was only in 2001 when Vienna based Klaus Mühlbauer took over the reigns of the family business "Mühlbauer Hüte" that things gradually changed. He turned the company upside down and reached out to an international audience by putting millinery back into focus. It seems he has done something right, as nowadays these hats are sold in selected stores all over the world: Milan, New York, and Tokyo.
