I Love Hats Because?

Hats, how do I love thee?
Let me count the ways!
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My block can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of being and ideal grace.

But seriously, I cannot think of a time in my life, from frilly infant bonnets to fabulous, feathered Derby finery, when I did not adore hats. Millinery seemed like a solid career choice.

About Me

I began my journey in 2014 in Louisville, Kentucky trimming hats for the Kentucky Derby. While I enjoyed it, I longed for the technical skills to make my ideas come alive. In 2020, I had orders for roughly 50 Derby hats. The Pandemic shut down every single order, leaving me with lots of material and lots of spare time. I devoted the entire year to honing my skills, and I'm now preparing my application for admittance to the USA Millinery Guild.
