I Love Hats Because?

Millinery is my fulltime vocation and business. I love hats because of the versatility in design, utilising of various materials whether form traditional to modern and the sculptural and engineering aspect of making a hat intrigues me. I love how hats can totally transform a person installing confidence and composure while really finishing off an outfit and showcasing personality.

About Me

I have been operating Leanne cairns Millinery for 5 and half years and studying my craft for nearly 10 years now. I started out after being a carer for my partner and having to give up a career in Design ranging from Interiors to Treehouse Design. I have always had a real fascination and passion for Fashion and Architecture and find being a milliner really utilises all the skills I have learned in my earlier career along side my passion for structure, design and pattern making.My main clientele are mothers of the bride/groom as I have a keen and talented eye for colour which allows my bespoke pieces to be hand dyed to perfectly match any outfit and skintone, this is my differentiator as well as sustainable design thinking.
