Genevieve Amelia has a background in costume design, fine art, and textiles. Her interest in tribal cultures and a life-long fascination with natural history led her to start creating wearable pieces of art in the form of headdresses and headwear adornments, mostly comprising of whatever she could find that nature didn't have any use for anymore. In modern society headwear is all about adornment but for primitive tribal cultures it is an expressionl of their beliefs and their relationship with nature. The white peacock & antler creation imparts such dramatic symbolism.
