With retirement has come a wonderful new experience for Karen Hawes - a new career in millinery has begun. In her designing Karen loves to capture the personality of her customer. She has a passion for fashion and loves her customers to glow with delight at what she has created for them to co-ordinate with their outfit. Taking advantage of learning online through Hat Academy is enabling Karen to add to her skills and increase her range of styles offered to her clients. Building a millinery business takes time and patience. “Lots of Dots” Hatinator has been created with stiffened sinamay and trimmed with hand crafted sinamay flowers and French netting. This was sewn to a black round mini base with hair comb to secure on the head.
