In case you have never visited Londonderry, Ireland this hat will give you a glimpse. It has been created by Irish Milliner, Deb Fanning for a competition to depict the culture of this beautiful city. The shape represents the city walls of Derry using sinamay to make the base and city walls. It was covered with tangle tuft, then a black braid hand stitched along the edges. Some white crinoline on the inside of the hat represents the water. The feature was the Peace Bridge made from wire and goose feathers.
