Not all milliners choose to reveal the inside of their headwear but theatrical milliner Susi Rigg of Perth, West Australia is proud to share the interior of this blue silk bonnet. It was created for Anna a leading performer in the ballet, La Sylphide presented by the WA Ballet. This romantic ballet was choreographed initially in 1832 and this bonnet reflects the headwear of that era. Any ideas why bunches of crinoline are added around the edge?
