To create a Busby hat you require felt, fur, wool, silk velvet. These were created by Milliner Samantha Haddow for this humorous play written by Sir Bernard Shaw. Based on the Serbo-Bulgarian War of 1885 it takes a comedic view of the futility of war. Attention to detail as seen in these pieces is essential in the art of theatrical Millinery. Much of her work is based on Vintage Swiss straw trimmed with posies & bows from a by-gone era. Samantha has worked in Broadway Costume but is currently employed as a milliner, costume crafts artisan & textile artist at the Guthrie Theatre, Minneapolis.
