I Love Hats Because?

I remember when I was a young girl, my mother was the fashion "it". When she would dress up, everything had to be prefect and match. Her hat and shoes would almost always be the same. She would restore, update or make a new hat. She would also restore or update her shoes. I mostly remember a Yellow Dress with black poke-a-dots and a yellow belt. The Hat was beautiful with feathers and flowers, the shoes were yellow with black poke-a-dots. I fell in love with hats watching my mother design her own hats. She use to say by making her own hats, it was more personal and unique to her. My mother is now deceased, but this is one of the most memberal things for me.

About Me

I am approaching my 63rd birthday. My husband passed in 2012 after 37 years of marriage. I born 3 children, 1 girl and 2 boys. My oldest son is deceased. I have 5 grandchildren, 3 girls and 2 boys. I also have to great- granddaughters. I retired after years as a Certified Surgical Technologist. Hat design as always been a hobby for me. After retiring due to medical issues, I found that I still have a passion for hat design and want to once again make those personal and unique hats my mother talked about.
