They can make you smile. They are the easiest way to hide, stand out or begin a conversation. Small feats of wonder of design, engineering, craft, texture, colour, line and form. The exclamation mark of an outfit.
About Me
I have been making hats for more than 12 years, I teach millinery in the North of England and have been involved in curating at the Hat Museum for the last 18 months.
I do hope this site inspires you. I admire the finesse of your work. I hope you can pick up extra skills through the site -even something you can pass on to students. My recent experience with leather flowers will be taught online eventually as so much easier than silk.

Feel free to share your hat or headpiece creations, join in or start a hatters discussion. Remember online help is a click away. To begin with Lessons check out our Get Started page. I am looking forward to sharing Millinery techniques, ideas and fashion news with you.
Enjoy, Elaine
