Besides the practical reasons to embrace wearing a hat, I love hats because they are the ultimate accessory to top off an ensemble and make a fashion statement. A hat adds a personal interpretation to an outfit. As a fan of fashion history, I have come to love vintage hats and have learned that all hats tell a story of an era.
Whether for whimsy or warmth, a hat is the perfect accessory and my absolute favorite hats are pieces of wearable works of art!

About Me

I began my career designing distinctive interiors incorporating textural textiles with fashionable antique and vintage accessories and, thus, Joy Design was first conceived. My goal was to create an environment for my clients that was not only timeless, but one that featured the combination of balanced form and fanciful elements. Those goals continue in the expression of creativity that my company, Joy Design, is today.

Although my overall design goals are similar, designing headwear is a pure JOY and the element of immediate gratification is wonderful! Touching the textures I utilize and seeing them come together in the form of wearable art is divine. Creating remarkable and unique collections, specializing in handmade one of a kind headwear, and redesigning quality vintage collections is a dream come true. By combining textural interest with intricate details, and by utilizing traditional millinery tools and techniques, I strive to achieve outstanding and flattering headwear to beguile and charm everyone who sees you!
