About Me: Kelly Schultz is the owner, designer and milliner for Angeline Alice Millinery & Kick Ass Fashions. She named her new business after her two grandmothers, Angeline Freichels and Alice Grubich. Those two women lived in an era where women wore hats everywhere and that is what inspired Kelly's hat making. She is originally from St. Paul, Minnesota but has called Bemidji home for the past nine years. Her mother taught her to sew at age eight and the rest is history. Kelly’s passion is making hats, fascinators and accessories, but she also dabbles in alterations and designing clothing. Kelly’s millinery creations were inspired by the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. Since April 29, 2011 Kelly has made over 100 different fascinators and hats. Some of Kelly’s favorite embellishments and textiles to use in her creations are feathers from birds native to Minnesota, ribbon, buttons, silk, satin, and rhinestones. Every item she makes is unique and you will never find another one exactly like it. Besides fashion, her other obsession is sports, which she makes her living. Kelly is currently the play-by-play announcer for the Bemidji State women’s Division I hockey team who play in the WCHA conference and the Marketing Coordinator for the Beaver Radio Network.
