- I love hats. I love old hats, I love current hats, and I am sure to love future hats. I love hats because they express so much creativity (and always complete the perfect outfit). And after taking a short beginners' millinery class, I know and appreciate the extraordinary time and effort that goes into each and every wonderful hat.

- Hi! My name is Katherine Dickerson, but I go by Katie. I live in North County San Diego, California. I am fifty-one and work as a part-time tax professional. I have been a hobbyist seamstress my whole life, but due to neck and back pain I had to stop sewing (at least on a sewing-machine). Now I'm interested in learning how to make hats.
