The hat is constructed out of a piece of luscious vintage wool felt in a light tan. The vintage felt is truly just gorgeous - the best way I can think to describe is "buttery suede." It is soft, thick, high-quality, and stunning! The hat body is round, with a decorative tuck on one side. There is a wired circular tilt band in back to hold the hat onto the head. Two breathtakingly magnificent vintage 1930s/1940s matching faux birds grace the top of the hat, and are in practically pristine condition! I have been collecting vintage faux bird hats and vintage faux bird millinery decorations for years, and I have never come across any in as good of condition as these. The hat is completed with a section of seductive chin-length vintage New Old Stock brown veiling.
