This fabulous fedora was created on a one-of-a-kind hat block, and is reminiscent of those wonderful tilt hats from the late 1930s & 1940s.

The hat is constructed out of a single piece of black wool felt. The crown shape slopes forward, and the brim is wired. The sides of the crown are encircled with a piece of vintage auburn-colored grosgrain ribbon, over which rests a magnificent faux bird (the original tag read "Made in Paris").
