This beautiful hand dyed pink straw sun hat is a timeless hat. It is perfect for the Kentucky Derby. The shape and style would fit into any era and any occasion.

It was hand blocked from a vintage woven straw braid cartwheel. After it was hand dyed and blocked, the brim was wired for shape.

A lovely double colored ribbon was used as the crown band. The same ribbon was then fashioned into large roses and buds for the front of the hat. The buds have vintage leaves and stamens.

The finishing touch was to add burnout ostrich feathers among the roses.

It was all hand sewn and hand blocked.

The inside is unlined but does have a grosgrain band. If you would like a comb or elastic added for extra stability please let me know upon purchase so I can add it to the hat before shipping.

Fits head sizes 21 1/2" to 22" comfortably.
