This is an exquisite red silk and white woven starburst straw pillbox hat.

The base of the hat is red silk over hand formed buckram. The silk is covered with a woven white straw in a starburst pattern. It simply shimmers!

The hat is accented with 2 large vintage fabric roses and several vintage velvet rose bud stems. There are 2 large satin leaves with pearls and 3 broken arrow design hand cut ostrich feathers.

Of course, the highlight of the hat is the light weight white horse that is galloping through the roses on his quest to win the Kentucky Derby. (or any race)

The hat is lined in satin.

Fits head size from 21" to 23" as there is an elastic band which secures it on the head. If you would like a comb included for more security please let me know upon purchase so I can include it before shipping.
