Off White and Black Wide Brim Hat - Huge Double Bow

This hat is made from an off white straw capeline hood from Switzerland which I blocked, wired, and sewed into shape. This is a very elegant looking hat.

I decorated black petersham ( grosgrain) ribbon with a black and white cording and then hand sewed the finished ribbon to the brim edge.

The crown band is of the same type of decorated petersham but wider.

The only accent is a huge 6 1/2" wide by 14" long double bow made from vintage silk and cotton petersham ribbon. The center knot of the bow is decorated to match the band and brim.

Headsize opening is 22 1/2". It is unlined but has a grosgrain band on the inside.
