This reproduction 1920s / 1930s cloche is hand sewn over a lightweight buckram base. The brim is wired with millinery wire to keep its shape. The brim can also be flipped up in the front or on one side for a different look.
The designer fabric is a black and purple pattern that reflects the light beautifully and the gathered brim adds a touch of softness to the cloche.
Accenting this beautiful fabric is vintage metallic gold ribbon which I have worked into ribbon work flower designs and couched onto the hat. The focal point is the large flower in the center of the crown which has a vine and leaves draping down and onto the brim.
Each section of the crown is divided by the same gold ribbon and a tiny gold flower accents the end of each section as it melds into the brim.
The crown band is black grosgrain as is the brim trim.
The hat has a lovely classic cloche profile.
The hat has a satin lining and grosgrain band.
The hat has a head size opening of 22 1/2". You can still wear this hat if your head size is smaller but it will be further down on the head and toward your face.
