Recovering from So. California earthquake
After dealing with broken glass and objects all around our house, I am finally getting around to fixing the damage that my customized "Ears of Gears" suffered during Friday night's 5.1 earthquake (we live 4 miles from the epicenter). I think the chips and dents enhance their steampunkiness. I decided to share this here because Mickey Ears are the iconic hat of my community.

We've had bigger earthquakes but haven't been this close to the epicenter of a good shaker in a while. One forgets and then starts piling breakable things on top of cabinets and on high shelves.
