When I go shopping for fabrics, be it for a collection or client, I like to keep track of how much that fabric costs. I don;t use a lot of meterage when making hats but this depends solely on the size of the project. I take with me zip seal bags. I write where I bought it from (you can add contact details), fabric type then price per metre. Receipt gets filed and your fabric is stored neatly and conveniently when ready to use and eventually help with pricing up project. Helps you get a realistic and fair price for your work. Make sure you reuse the zip seal bag by simply wiping, with nail polish remover, the writing.
