I'm quite new here and to milliner. Can you tell me how you edge a crinoline with wire?

I do a long zigzag stitch if covering with fabric like this piece. Or an embroidery zigzag to fully cover the wire

It's really lovely. I don't have a zig zag stich on my machine only straight sewing. I think you can do it with a blanket stich. Cos I have done same bit with plain crinoline not pleated.
