This is a beautiful hat. Am I correct in that the shallow dome crown is placed over the main body of the hat? The photo shows as if the shallow crown has been edged and then sewn onto the top of the main part of the hat. I would welcome courses that go beyond the usual lessons and shows further ways to make up hats. Thoroughly enjoying the lessons but no there is a lot to learn. Regards Beth Milne

Dear Beth, Thank you for your comments and feedback. The hat crown of the hat has been blocked on a dome block and the brim a brim block. The crown is quite  shallow and therefore I advise to secure the hat with the elastic . Probably the angle of the picture makes it show like it has just been placed on the top of the brim but actually there is "a place for the head" also under the brim. Regards, Marge Iilane
